Carmel is an entrepreneur and consultant based in Gibraltar. She founded GreenCode in 2017, working across business development, property, project delivery and digital innovation.
She works with new and established businesses to improve operations, coordinate projects and develop the systems needed to support growth.
Her business interests span Gibraltar, China, Austria, Spain and the UK, and she is a Director of the Gibraltar Federation of Small Businesses and Chair of its Women in Enterprise initiative.
Carmel helps businesses define, develop and prototype software as a service (SaaS) products, client portals and automated workflows. She translates business needs into product requirements and user journeys, including subscription, payment and user access features, and guides solutions through testing and implementation. Her focus is on reducing repetitive administration and improving communication and operational oversight through tools such as automated reminders, status tracking and reporting.
As a member of RICS, RIBA and the PMI, Carmel combines building surveying, project management and client representation. She helps property owners and developers assess building condition, identify risks, coordinate consultants and contractors, and manage defects and handovers.
Her background in architecture, urban development and sustainability informs her approach to asset performance, resource use and long-term value. For organisations planning investment or expansion, Carmel can help assess property and operational requirements, identify risks and prioritise improvements, connecting commercial objectives with the people, processes and technology needed to deliver them.
